Say what you will about Taylor Swift, but few can argue that Shake it off is one of the coolest, catchiest pop songs of the last year [technically released just over a year ago]. I’ve never heard of Screaming Females before, so I’m glad The A.V. Club arranged this introduction.

Screaming Females is an American independent rock band, often labeled a punk rock band, from New Brunswick, New Jersey. It’s embarrassing that I’ve only heard of them now, especially considering they’ve been around since 2005.
